Build a House in Kenya From the Diaspora — and Watch Every Milestone

NCA-supervised construction under the new National Building Code — engineer sign-offs on every critical pour, milestone-based payments you approve, and GPS-tagged proof every week.

The Rules Changed in 2025. We Build to the New Code.

The National Building Code 2024 became operative on 1 March 2025, replacing the 57-year-old by-laws of 1968. It is now the governing standard for all construction in Kenya — and every project must clear four registrations before work begins:

  • NCA Project Registration via the Online Project Registration System (OPRS) — every project must be registered before work begins
  • County building plan approval — plans submitted to the county government for review
  • NEMA clearance where applicable — environmental impact assessment
  • KEBS testing — materials must meet Kenya Bureau of Standards specifications

Contractors are classified from NCA-1 (no upper limit) through NCA-8 (capped at roughly KES 10M). We only deploy contractors whose tier matches your project value — an under-tiered crew is an under-built house.
